Sunday Oluwasola, an Ekiti robber who the police rescued from a student mob and later died, identified his gang members before dying.

ASP Sunday Abutu, the Ekiti Police Command spokesman said Oluwasola also confessed to the crime, before he died.

According to him, Oluwasola identified his gang members as Tochukwu, Michael and Tomiwa. He didn’t supply the surnames.

Abutu, however said that efforts are on to arrest his other gang members that fled with valuables such as laptops, phones and cash.

Oluwasola died of complications in the hospital, Abutu said.

He and his gang attacked a students’ hostel opposite Ekiti State University (EKSU) in Iworoko-Ekiti.

But he was captured by the students and beaten to stupor while his other gang members escaped.

He said that the command’s Rapid Response Squad (RRS) had earlier received a distress call that an armed robbery was going in a hostel apartment opposite the Ekiti State University (EKSU) campus in Iworoko-Ekiti.

Abutu said that, though Oluwasola was rescued by the operatives on getting to the scene and rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, he later developed complications and died.

He said that the body of Oluwasola had been deposited in a morgue for post mortem.

According to Abutu, items recovered from the suspect were two locally made double barrel guns, two cutlasses, two pliers and two wooden human images.

These two women identified as Favour and Uchechi, pictured above, were identified to be professional criminals, were caught by people with several sophisticated master keys in their possession. They were arrested along Rumuoke, off AdaGeorge Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers state and disgraced badly before been handed over to the police for investigation.

Before robbery was attributed to men alone but nowadays women are really taking over from men.

According to Facebook users, Bright Jossy, the women were arrested by some members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Rivers state chapter. The armed women allegedly use their master keys to gain entrance into homes in the neighborhood and steal things They were handed over to the Nigerian Police Force, after the have been badly beaten and disgraced by the youth.

They were beaten to the extent that the were thrown inside the cutter full of mood.

The ladies were caught after a woman raised an alarm of them gaining entrance into her locked apartment, the stole so many things from the woman’ s house and they were about leaving when the youth of the community caught up with them and collected the items from them.

These women were described as a disgrace to womanwood, they were beaten in a very bad way Untill the police came and took them away.

They two girls were handed over to the police force which arrested them and took them to the station for interrogations, after series of interrogations they all confessed of how they use to go about on day time and in the night to steal people’ s things.

Some implicating items were found from them at the point of their arrest, items like a short pistel, master keys, and machetes.

The police DPO who confirmed the arrest said the ladies have been terrorising the peace of the community.

He told the youth to be calm that the ladies will be transferred to their headquarters for more interrogations and charging.

From what we learnt, the 2 suspected thieves ordered a ride around Lagos Business area from Utibe, who happens to work for Bolt, a popular car-hailing company. It was revealed that the men during the trip stabbed the driver with sharp objects and dispossessed him of the car. This revelation was made public by Utibe’s friend with the Twitter handle @sama_on_point. He revealed that the two men ran off with the car after inflicting injury on the driver.

Two suspected armed robbers have been arrested after they attacked and snatched a car from an uber driver in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos.

According to reports, after robbing the car, the armed robbers drove to an area far from the operation spot and slept off.

The police tracked the car down and arrested the robbers in the process.

“On the receipt of the distress call, the Area Commander Area J, Ajah, dispatched a team to the scene and traced the snatched car to Mayfair Garden, Ibeju Lekki, where the suspects were arrested, the driver rescued and the car recovered. The Police also recovered one axe stained with blood and one knife from the suspects.

“The driver, who was seriously injured, is receiving treatment at a hospital within Lagos State and recuperating.

“The Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered for a discreet investigation into the case, while he warned those who are planning to engage in criminal acts or have been involved in one crime or the other to desist and flee Lagos State, or else, they meet their waterloo in no time.”
